Seems like the entire world is going 3D these days! Be it computers, movies, video games… everyone is going hammer and tongs making 3D images and designs.
3D graphic designs are more effective and striking. But most importantly, 3D images are much more realistic. Some shadowing, gradients, highlighting and drop-shadows could do wonders to any image. A 3D effect is particularly useful in promoting a product over the Internet. It is possible to break up the image, rotate it and see various components thoroughly. Similarly, logos and wallpapers that have 3D designs go a long way in making a lasting impression.

Mercedes-Benz USA will likely spend a “few million dollars” advertising its product integration in New Line Cinema’s upcoming big-screen version of the hit HBO series “Sex and the City,” VP-Marketing Steve Canon told Advertising Age during the New York International Auto Show.
Mercedes is developing another super car in conjunction with McLaren. At the moment Mercedes produces the 612-bhp SL65 AMG on the one hand and the 626-bhp SLR on the other. Although there is no significant difference in performance Mercedes is developing the mini-SLR to join the current SLR at the top of its range. The mini SLR would sport a newly developed 5-litre V8 performing some 400 bhp, and due to its light-weight the mini SLR will reach top-speeds of beyond the latest SL65 and will outrun the SL65 from 0 to 100 km/h. The mini SLR would be marketed as a super car like the SLR rather than a performance roadster like the SL65.
